As we talk about professional development, you should look into updating your technical proficiency since most professional development includes technology for the class room.

The state of Washington insists that you will incorporate technology and assessment into your curriculum and be able to show evidence of this for your residency certification

I teach technology in an inquiry based high school in Redmond, WA. I am fortunate to be part of a STEAM high school and to collaborate on many PBL projects. I have also taught technology integration in middle schools through pre-service teachers. I am currently teaching 5 sections of AP Computer Science Principles and I mentor a girl's outreach program for Computer Programming. As an Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, I also have the privilege to travel and deliver trainings for i2E, NCCE and the Minecraft Education team. I have worked with #CorelaborateWA twitter teacher leaders and I am the 2017 WA PBS Digital Innovator. So many opportunities to meet and collaborate!
